Bean & Cheese Burrito $5.49 after tax

Measurements: 8″ circumference; 7″ length (smaller than average)

At the former location of Tortilla Grill, Casalinda is a step down from its predecessor.  Fresh food, fresh ingredients, but with little inspiration.  In our party of three, all three burritos had a big lump of cheese in the middle.  Great location on prime Abbott Kinney, chill atmosphere, forgettable salsa bar.   I paid with a $10 bill, and they gave me a Panamanian dime (.99 USD exchange)

Value: Over Priced

Veggie Burrito $6.01 after tax

 

Veggie burrito w/ black or pinto beans, rice (red), cheese, guacamole, and lettuce.  Four salsas and pico de gallo (no jalapenos) at the salsa bar.  Salsas are “jar” like, but it’s always nice to have a salsa bar.  The non-chunky hot sauce was my favorite.

CLOSED FOR BUSINESS!!!

Venice hangout always packed with people of all ages having a good time. Food is made with canola oil, no lard, no MSG, no sulfites. Chico Burrito: Red rice, pinto beans, jack cheese slice, pico de gallo (no jalapenos).

Venice Vegetarian Burrito

3 salsas: hearty red, chunky red and green (no salsa bar). Chunky Red: spicy, fresh (que bueno). Hearty red: good (not spicy). I asked them for all three salsas, but they didn’t put the green in the to-go bag.

Value: Amazing! (for Abbot Kinney and the Westside)
